Keeping Online Asynchronous Discussion on Topic
Online discussions can be a great way to expand upon course content….if students stay on topic! Learn effective methods of keeping students on track with online discussions.
Contact Tom Janke to learn more about the software available at the CTL.
The CTL gives IUPUI faculty access to multiple computer workstations and a wide range of software. This collection of software will allow faculty to edit audio and video, manipulate images, create instructional games and assemble presentations among many other functions. All software is chosen for its capability and flexibility to help individuals create dynamic instructional media.
Consultants are on hand to assist faculty with learning how to use the software and hardware available in the CTL. Using best practices, consultants will help faculty use this technology to its fullest potential. Faculty can either schedule appointments with consultants or if they prefer to work on projects independently, can simply reserve a workstation. Walk-ins are also accepted but it is recommended that appointments be scheduled ahead of time to avoid scheduling conflicts.
