Edward C. Moore Symposium

In keeping with the long-standing tradition of gathering around an academic issue of interest to all, the E. C. Moore Symposium will continue to offer a variety of sessions that emphasize innovation and best practices. Today’s technology offers incredible opportunities to engage students in the classroom and beyond. Wikis, blogs, and social networking sites allow students to connect and collaborate in new and innovative ways. Applications such as web conferencing tools (e.g., Adobe Connect) can bring faculty and students together from far off locations. This year the E.C. Moore Symposium brings the IUPUI campus community together to consider the ways that technology is shaping the teaching and learning in the classroom and beyond.

The Mack Center at Indiana University for Inquiry on Teaching and Learning is sponsoring a track on the Scholarship on Teaching and Learning (SoTL). Registering for Events

All CTL-sponsored events are free, and most are open to the entire campus and/or the public. All participants, however, are asked to register online in advance. We use the registration data to generate nametags and attendance sheets, as well as to ensure that we have sufficient materials, seating, and food (in the case of longer events). When you complete your registration, you will receive an immediate email confirmation. A follow-up reminder will be sent the day before the event occurs.
